How To Reassemble The Trigger Group On The M1 Garand
 

The sturdy trigger guard is pretty easy to put back in place. Do it using the following steps:

First turn the Trigger Guard so that it is at a 45 degree angle to the trigger housing. Move the trigger guard into the right side of the housing keeping one 'ear' of the trigger guard above and one below the bottom outside of the housing.

After you have the Trigger Guard generally centered in the housing firmly rotate it downward as shown in the photograph above. This brings it into the proper orientation with the housing.

The next step is to firmly push forward on the bottom of the Trigger Guard so as to slide it into its final position. At this point roughly line it up with the holes in the side of the trigger housing where the hammer pin will secure it later.

Now it is time to install the Safety.
