Re-Assembling M1 Garand After Field Stripping
 

When we have the stock back in place on the Receiver the next step of re-assembly is to place the Trigger Group.

The first step in replacing the Trigger Group is to make sure the hammer is cocked. This is easily done by pulling down on the Trigger Guard until the hammer snaps into the position shown below.

Next set the trigger group into the rifle. Simply drop it straight down into the stock.

The next step is to rotate the Trigger Guard toward the rear and up into the weapon. When the Trigger Guard comes into contact with the Trigger Housing simply push down on the Trigger Guard until it snaps into place.

When the Trigger Guard locks in place the rifle should be fully re-assembled and ready for a few final tests and safety tests.
