Part name: Rear Handguard

Part Function: The Rear Handguard protects the shooter of an M1 rifle from being burned by a hot barrel and from coming into contact with the moving Operating Rod.

Special Notes: The Rear Handguard is easy to crack if you attempt to remove it incorrectly. It is the thinnest piece of wood on the M1 Garand Rifle.
