M1 Garand Buttplate Screws

Part name: Buttplate Screws

Part Function: The short Buttplate Screw naturally enough holds the buttplate on to the buttstock. The longer Buttplate Bolt secures the Buttplate as well and it also holds the buttstock swivel in place.

Special Notes: The Buttplate Screw is pictured at the top, the Buttplate Bolt is pictured below.

Other items of interest in this photograph: The 'Walking Liberty' Half-Dollar was in common circulation during W.W.II. The patriotic theme of lady liberty draped in a flag is not hard to miss. Many people consider this one of the most beautiful silver coins ever minted.
